GelrinB |
GelrinB is a void filling matrix for bone regeneration designed to be used in osseous injuries. The GelrinB matrix is designed to be injected directly into a bone defect using minimally invasive surgical techniques. The matrix solidifies immediately upon light-activated polymerization and takes the shape of the injury site. It is currently undergoing early preclinical evaluation.
The matrix is designed to maintain stability for several months in the injury site and to enable tissue ingrowth from the injury periphery. The placement of the GelrinB matrix in the injury site is designed to sustain normal healing that leads to functional bone formation.
Indication
The GelrinB is to be used to fill bony voids or gaps caused by trauma or surgery. The GelrinB is intended to be injected and placed into bony voids or gaps of the skeletal system (i.e., the extremities, spine and pelvis).
Caution: Investigational Device. Limited by U.S. law to investigational use. |
